­The field school trained me in archaeological excavation and laboratory methods as well as instruction in the prehistory of Peru. The School started with workshops on archaeological methods and the prehistory of Peru. After this, I work five days a week excavating an ancient fishing village on the beach in Huanchaco.

International Student Adviser (IPA), employer University of California Riverside, Riverside, CA August 2008 to June 2009

­Helped facilitate incoming international students to adjust to the US culture and way of life, and more specifically to life at UCR. Duties included helping them on a personal level to take care of necessary tasks and paperwork such as filling out school applications, finding places to live, and applying for bank cards. Set up activities and trips to get them acquainted with campus and the culture of California. Listen to their concerns and respond appropriately.
