Artifact first Geofact second

Conchoidal

I find a well formed fracture almost as interesting as a well formed tool.

What is the largest conchoidal fracture any group member has come across?

Any photos?

I have seen lots of basalt flakes with lengths and/or widths greater than 50 cm at metate manufacturing sites outside of Bullhead City, AZ and Laughlin, NV. When I was first told of these sites I was skeptical, but a month of survey made a believer of me.

Ive seen really big flake scars on the granite walls of Yosemite. I might have a pic some place.
