Senior Cultural Resources Manager
LSA Associates, Inc.

LSA Associates, Inc. (LSA) is seeking a Senior Cultural Resources Manager. The selected individual will manage multidisciplinary projects involving cultural resources management, prehistoric and historical archaeology, history, historical architecture, and traditional cultural properties. Projects will involve inventory, evaluation, and mitigation, which can include directing and conducting archival, background, and technical research; field surveys and excavations; laboratory work; data analysis; and preparation of reports. Tasks will include maintaining client, agency, and Native American relationships; managing budgets and schedules; directing personnel; planning projects; and preparing proposals. Field work will occur primarily in the Southern California area, but may also take place throughout California. The candidate should have the following qualifications: M.A. or M.S. in Cultural Resources Management, Archaeology, Anthropology, or other closely related field, with about 10 years of experience that includes supervision of archival, field, and laboratory research and reporting. Previous project management experience, with an ability to work on multiple projects, is required. Experience in California cultural resources management with a working knowledge of federal and state cultural resources regulatory compliance is necessary. Must be able to meet U.S. Secretary of the Interior and California Department of Transportation professional qualifications standards for prehistoric or historical archaeologist, and must qualify as a Registered Professional Archaeologist. Candidates with geoarchaeological experience are preferred.
