Hello! I am a hard-working, well-trained, two-time graduate of UWF with about five years of experience working and volunteering for the University of West Florida's Anthropology department and Archaeology Institute as a terrestrial and conservation lab and field technician.  I worked part-time in 2005 and began working full-time in the lab from 2006-2009 while working on the occasional field project. My duties pertained but were in no way limited to:

~Assisting in the classification, conservation, coding, and storage of UWF and Gulf Island's National Seashore prehistoric and historic artifacts along with other students and volunteers

~Assisting in the re-organization, re-working, and movement of terrestrial and underwater archaeological collections, occasional volunteer faunal collection for UWF's faunal comparative collection

~Field and lab work on Phase I, II, and III projects, including but not limited to Solutia Survey for the movement of Pensacola's ECUA plant, the Commanding Officer's Compound excavation in Downtown Pensacola, Lee House and Zaragoza Street Projects, Native American site excavation and mapping, St. Michael's Cemetery mapping and conservation

~Training in use of Total Station, underwater shipwreck survey/reconnaissance using GPS and Hypack software, GIS

~Naui Open Water certified 2005

~Skilled with wood and metal working/welding/sculpture/painting/ceramics/digital photography

Preferably, my employment within a company would be long-term to gain growth and knowledge. I am a career-minded individual who would like to eventually further her education as well. Certainly, I am willing to consider any position short or long term within Archaeology, related fields, or Art museums and galleries that you as the potential employer feel that I would qualify for. If you would like to speak with me about a position within your company, please call me at 850-725-7911 or contact me by email at krk5@students.uwf.edu. Unofficial or official transcripts are available and I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your time,
Rhiannon Kabaci
