Seminar: Archaeological Survey Technologies, 21 October 2011

NCPTT is sponsoring a seminar organized by the The Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World at Brown University to explore  "Archaeological Survey Technologies: Data Integration, and Applications (ASTDA)"  at Longfellow House - Washington's Headquarters National Historic Site - Cambridge, MA, 21 October 2011, 8 to 12 PM.

Participation is encouraged from (but not limited to) property developers, land surveyors, architects, cultural resource managers, historic property managers, NPS property managers, Historic Commission representatives, public outreach societies, and educators. The seminar will focus on presenting each of the three stages in creation of the 3D property models (data capture, processing, and fusion) and how to use this innovative visualization of integrated data for their particular needs.

The seminar will be led by  Dr. Meg Watters,  Stephen Wilkes, and Dr. Steven Pendery, and will conclude with a panel discussion with representatives from each of the targeted groups of participants. The pane will include Michael Feldman, Harry R. Feldman, Inc.;  Ellen Berkalnd - Departmet of Conservation and Recreation, MA; Nina Zannieri - Paul Revere Memorial Association, Dr. Meg Watters -  Joukowsky Institute of Archaeology and the Ancient World, Brown University; Dr. Steven Pendery, National Park Service (Moderator).

Registration limited to 20 participants.
